Do you ever feel like you just want to give up and quit? Call it a day? Go home?

Are you burnt out? Have you lost passion? Are constantly looking for a way out?

Recently I have come across my own personal struggles of feeling like I’m lost, I don’t know what I want to do anymore, and that school just isn’t it.  If I’m being quite honest (which I am), I’m at a bit of a low point. My motivation is lacking, and my passion is declining. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy where I’m at on my academic journey, however, the challenges that come along with the title cause for feelings of discouragement from time to time.

The best advice that I could give another student, or anyone feeling discouraged, would be that this is only temporary, and that your hustle now will bring you to greater things in your future. Obviously this is something I have to continue to remind myself (and for my parents aka my support system to help to remind me).

Earlier in the week I had a conversation with my father who quoted the late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can”t walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward” -MLK

KEEP MOVING FORWARD! Don’t quit! Whatever you do just keep pushing through. No matter who you are or where you are at in your life just remember to keep digging down for that inner strength. This position you are at is only temporary. You can continue on with your journey after you achieve this one checkpoint.

The hustle don’t stop!

You have to wake up each day and put in the work. And by work I mean time, and effort. Now is only a temporary experience, and what you are going through now will help you well into the future… remember that.

Challenge!! Write down 2 positive and inspirational quotes that will keep you motivated for the next few weeks. Pro tip: Change up the quotes every so often so that you can continue to be refreshed and motivated along your journey. Keep your end goal in sight as you continue to hustle through your situation. Hustle hard, don’t quit.

The hustle now is all part of the experience to living your life to the fullest every day.
