Guess who’s back back back, back again ‘gain ‘gain.
Just over a month ago I decided to take some time away in order to find the “direction” that I want for my blog. I wanted to find my niche, my key audience, and the influence I want from the posts that I write. Just like anyone typically does when they put something on the “back burner,” I didn’t work at it right away. I often told myself that “I’ll start it tomorrow,” but I never did. It wasn’t until I heard the right advice at the right time for me to begin to see the importance of finding my vision.
A couple of weeks ago I had an insightful conversation with someone special to me. The conversation taught me about the importance of setting goals for yourself in order to reach your ultimate dream.
From that conversation I quickly learned the difference between dreaming, and setting goals to go after your dream. Every person has a dream, but in order to get to your dream you need goals. Together your goals and your dream make up your vision.
What dream have you always thought about? How can you create a path toward pursuing your dream?
My advice to you is to grab a notebook and a pen. Write down your thoughts, and ideas. It helps to create clarity and understanding. My notebook is small, but filled with so many scribbles and scratches from the thoughts in my head. Diagrams, side notes, comments, and everything in-between.
Ever since that encouraging conversation I have been working on finding my niche, my key audience, and the influence I want from the posts that I write.
As a writer I want my readers to feel the same epiphany that I did on the day that I started working toward a more fulfilling life. It’s a journey. Ups and downs. Twists and turns. I’m going to talk about my own life experiences that are relatable to others.
Think about a dream or an end goal of yours. What mini goals can you set for yourself in order to get you one step closer to the ultimate vision?
I hope this article brings you one step closer to living your life to the fullest everyday.
